It is not German, it is Germano
Grape variety: Rhine Riesling
Altitude: approx. 500/570 m a.s.l.
Exposure: South-East - South-West
Average vine age: 15 years
Soil: Silty, calcareous and very stony
Vinificazione
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in vertical stainless steel tanks at approximately 16°C, after which the temperature is further lowered to prevent the onset of malolactic fermentation. The wine is bottled at the end of spring. Thanks to the low fermentation temperature, yeast activity is halted, leaving a residual sugar of approximately 5–6 g/L, which helps enhance the varietal expression of Riesling.
Degustazione
Straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections, it shows a fruity and finely tropical aromatic profile in its youth, accompanied by vegetal hints that with ageing evolve towards minerality and the varietal hydrocarbon notes. On the palate the entry is full and savoury, driven by fruit, with freshness and persistence that extend through a long finish.
