Vinificazione
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in vertical stainless steel tanks, with skin maceration lasting approximately 20–30 days. After racking off and completion of malolactic fermentation, the wine is transferred to oak vessels of varying ages and capacities, where it undergoes ageing for a period of 18 to 24 months. After this time, the wine is bottled and further aged in bottle for approximately 6 months before release.
Degustazione
Deep, bright garnet red in colour, it shows on the nose ripe red fruits, sweet spices and undergrowth, enhanced by delicate balsamic and vanilla nuances derived from ageing in oak. On the palate the entry is full-bodied and structured, with firm yet elegant tannins that envelop the palate; acidity balances the richness, leading to a long and persistent finish with returning fruity and spicy notes.
